Dr. Aurelien Lucchi

I am a senior researcher at the institute of machine learning at ETH Zurich. I completed my PhD in Computer Science at EPFL (Lausanne, Switzerland) in September 2013. I have a broad interest in stochastic optimization and machine learning as well as applications to various scientific fields such as astronomy.

Update: I will join the University of Basel (Department of Mathematics and Computer Science) as Assistant Professor on January 1st 2022. I will be looking for talented PhD candidates with a strong background in math and optimization (prefarably with a degree in mathematics). See advertisement for further details.
