I am a PhD candidate at ETH Zurich at the Institute for Pervasive Computing lead by Prof. Friedemann Mattern.
In addition I work as a researcher at the Bits to Energy Lab, a joint research initiative of the ETH Zurich and the University of St. Gallen.
Before starting the PhD program in June 2011 I had worked for almost three years as a development engineer at Robert Bosch GmbH (Corporate Research and Advance Engineering) in the field of the Internet of Things and Services.
In May 2008 I finished my studies of Computer Science (major) and Business Administration (minor) at University of Tübingen in Germany.
During my studies I spent one year at the University of Oregon (USA), which was sponsored by Fulbright and the State of Baden-Württemberg.
I also worked multiple years as a student research assistant at the group of Prof. Klaus Wehrle (now: Chair of Communication and Distributed Systems at RWTH Aachen University).
In his group I accomplished both my student thesis and my diploma thesis in the field of Computer Networking.
