Californium (Cf) CoAP framework in Java

Californium (Cf) is a modular Java-based CoAP implementation using a flexible, layered architecture. It allows easy creation of cloud-based client and server applications as well as CoAP proxies. We currently support RFC 7252 (CoAP), draft-ietf-core-block-14, draft-ietf-core-observe-14, and RFC 6690 (CoRE Link Format). The included Scandium (Sc) project provides DTLS 1.2.

Californium is now an Eclipse Project. It was successfully tested at the ETSI IoT CoAP Plugtests. Our Java implementation passed all mandatory and optional tests with all the other implementations that supported them. Our Californium test server is available at coap://vs0.inf.ethz.ch:5683/ and coap://iot.eclipse.org:5683/.
