I'm currently a PostDoc Researcher in the Systems group at the Department of Computer Science (D-INFK) of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zürich (ETHZ). In November 2007, I completed my PhD in Computer Science at the University of Helsinki (Finland) under the supervision of Prof. Kimmo Raatikainen. Prior to that, in 2003, I received my engineering degree in telecommunications from Politecnico di Milano (Italy). In June 2008 I was awarded the prestigious ETH fellowship.

My research focuses on building system architectures, protocols and middleware for computing systems running on resource-constrained mobile devices. I'm very interested in applied research and in particular in programming mobile phones and experimenting with real-world prototype applications. My research interests include cloud computing infrastructures, many-core architectures, and embedded systems.
