[ Research ]

Since May 2011, I have been working as a Research Assistant (Ph.D. student) in the Systems Group at ETH Zurich under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Gustavo Alonso. I am also co-supervised by Prof. Dr. Donald Kossmann and Prof. Dr. Jens Teubner. My primary research interest revolves around databases. Currently, I am looking into how multi-core architecture can facilitate the processing of data. My research is partially supported by a Marie-Curie (FP7) grant from the European Union.

Currently I am affiliated with the following two projects:
Rapid: Rapid is a collaboration with the Oracle labs where we are looking at improving the energy efficiency of database-processing systems using hardware-software co-design.
GeoCrowd: As part of this project, I am looking at how to develop architecture conscious algorithms for Big Data analytics.
